Heavy rain poured the capital yesterday, Monday (9/19), triggered trash at Ria Rio Reservoir, Pulogadung, East Jakarta, Monday (9/19). Mostly the trash flowed to local connecting channels.
We need two days to clean the reservoir from the trash
Due to the heavy flow, channel filter can not accommodate the trash. As the result, it flowed to the reservoir.
As many as 15 freelancers were deployed to clean the reservoir by using modified boat.
City to Change Channel Water Flow PatternThere are three modified boats standby at the reservoir everyday.
Meanwhile, the filter attached at the channel is quite effective blocking the trash. Personnel predicted need two day to clean it fully.
Endang (45), one of freelancers, admitted trash will flow to the reservoir during heavy rain.
“We need two days to clean the reservoir from the trash,” he admitted.
