Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat asserted that inundation handling in Kemang area, can only be resolved through demolishment against buildings stood atop the Krukut Rivet's trace. After that, it will be continued with river normalization in accordance with initial trace as wide as 20 meters.

"Those who build a building along the river will be demolished. It is under evaluation and we will do demolishment," he disclosed, at City Hall, Wednesday (10/5).

From report result from South Jakarta Administration, there are some buildings such as hotel and housing that will be demolished. The owner who has certificate, the city administration will buy the land where a building was standing.

"We control and give them compensation (those who have certificate)," he uttered.

By doing so, it could resolve inundation in Kemang. Because, drainage handling that has been done is able to minimize inundation duration.
