Although he has enrolled as presidential candidate to the General Elections Commission (KPU), Jakarta Governor Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo revealed that he remains focused on his duty to develop the capital city. Moreover, he has not been inactive from his post.
Jokowi disclosed that he is still active as the governor until May 31. Like today, he was instructed to become a toastmaster in the commemoration of National Awakening Day at Monas IRTI Field, Central Jakarta.

He admitted that he will officially be non-active governor on June 1. "For presidential candidacy, I have got a permission from president and just wait for the leave," he told.
As known, Jusuf Kalla was declared as vice president to accompany Jokowi to run in the upcoming Presidential Election. Later on, both will undergo a medical check-up conducted by the General Elections Commission (KPU) in the near future.
