Jakarta Provincial Government is intensifying the readiness in facing any disaster that happens in the capital. There are several potential disaster that faced, such as flood, hurricane, inundation, and dengue fever (DBD).

Jakarta Acting Governor, Sumarsono has signed a Gubernatorial Regulation about readiness of disaster.
"With this regulation, all regional working units (SKPD) must contribute each other," he stated, at City Hall, Wednesday (11/16).
14 Agencies Ready to Help Overcome Disaster in JakartaThe regulation is a follow up of Home Ministry Decree No. 362/3490/SJ on Anticipation of Flood Disaster and Landslide, as well as increased frequency of La Nina in Indonesia and increased rainfall in Sumatra and West Java.
SKPD that asked to be involved are as mayor, regent, BPBD, Health Dept, Fire Handling and Rescue Dept, Water Management Dept, Social Dept, Park and Cemetery Dept, Cleanliness Dept, Satpol PP, RSUD, and village chief.
"Every SKPD will be on duty in accordance with each principal and authority. There will also be a central command post," he expressed.
He added that the step was also taken to anticipate the peak of rainfall that is predicted to hit January-February.
"This instruction applies until April 2017 and can be renewed in accordance with the field condition," he finished.
