In line with Jakarta program as Smart City, the street light management is one form of improved public service that allows people to live safe and comfortable at noon or night.

This year, Jakarta Provincial Government is targeting 90,000 points of street light using LED lamp. In addition, they would be connected and its performance data can directly be sent via cellular network to Jakarta Industry and Energy Dept.

Head of Jakarta Communication, Informatic and Public Relation Dept, Dian Ekowati disclosed, through Smart City portal, the data that sent to Industry and Energy Dept would trigger the officer monitoring the street light infrastructure and lighting level efficiently.

Aside that, it is expected able to encourage the resident and government in using data and application to easily provide report, input and critic.

"Street light management can be done from the Industry and Energy Dept office regarding report. Disruption and damage to the lamp can be monitored and acted upon immediately without having to wait for public report or officer," she expressed, at Senayan City, Central Jakarta, Thursday (11/17).

The LED lamp installation is one of the largest in the world. The CityTouch Technology is able to be adapted to various installations and provide significant advantages.

Combination from LED luminaries and remote monitoring using a lighting management system enables energy savings and operational. Thus it deserves called as retrofit project and remote management of fastest street lighting in the world.

"The system can be installed quickly, because it has the ability in wireless networking and is able to cut maintenance time. Because, each lamp can report the status and performance. Funding that must be spent for street light, the dept could streamline nearly 50 percent since using lamp like this," he finished.
