Jakarta Provincial Government does not mess around with the closing of Stadium Discotheque, Taman Sari, West Jakarta. The discotheque’s management will not get a second chance to operate again, as requested by the Nightlife Entertainment Association that considered the fate of hundreds of Stadium Discotheque employees who are threatened to be laid off because of the closing.

Jakarta Vice Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama said that Jakarta Provincial Government has actually given a second chance to Stadium Discotheque management. However, the warning was ignored.

“We’ve told that if there was lay off, you must think about the severance pay. It’s not us who should think about that,” he stated, Friday (5/23).

In that occasion, Basuki asserted that Jakarta Provincial Government will not give a new permit if Stadium Discotheque management requested a re-opening by renaming the discotheque.

“ We’ll still reject it, what’s so hard anyway. We’ll not sign, not give any permit,” he stressed.
