Sudden Inspection, Many PNS in S. Jakarta Mayor Office Absent

Jakarta Employment Agency (BKD) Head, I Made Karmayoga held sudden inspection (sidak) of PNS (civil servant) presence at South Jakarta Mayor office, Wednesday (5/25). The inspection was conducted related of working day which clamped by national holiday.

Special team from BKD together with Made came around 1 PM, every team member using black vest and written ‘Blusukan BKD’ on its back.

Clamped by National Holidays, Hundreds of Civil Servants take Leave

Block C building of South Jakarta Mayor office became the first targeted building by this team. On this building the team discovered many PNSs that were not in their place. Moreover, many PNSs at Water Management and Public Roads Division room of Public Works Department were informed conducting outer working.

 

At Block B Building, the team was not only found absence PNS, but also many cigarette buds especially in South Jakarta P2B (Construction Supervision, Regulation Agency) Sub-Department staff room. When they were asked, no one of PNS inside the room clarified as the owner of those cigarette buds.

“PNS should be supervised and monitored during this clamped holiday, are there PNS who violates time provision. We have averagely 30 percent from total PNS on each SPKD are not in place,” Karmayoga explained at South Jakarta Mayor office, Wednesday (5/28).

 

Karmayoga said, his team only counting PNS inside the room. Meanwhile, for PNS who is not present inside the room whether with meeting reason, other duty, and absent will get letter. “We will deliver letter to ask about explanation and there are some officials including Communication, Informatics, and Public Relation Sub-Department Head is also not present on his place. Sub-Department head who want to go outside office should have permit to City Secretary, this is administration order and working order,” he said.

 

Karmayoga also regrets there were remain cigarette buds in P2B Sub-Dept. room. According to him, this is a mistake that should not be repeated again for a civil servant. “It is clear that there is a regional regulation (perda) about smoking prohibition. I directly scolded administration sub-division head,” he asserted.

Meanwhile, South Jakarta Mayor, Syamsuddin Noor said, he will evaluate PNS supervision again in South Jakarta regional governance environment, especially about smoking prohibition violation.
