Monas Ticket Run Out, Visitors Disappointed

Isa Al Masih commemorating holiday is used by a number of city residents to visit Monas in Central Jakarta. However, due to sold out tickets since 12.00 PM, many visitors got upset since they could not go to the top of Monas.

Please, only three tickets for my family, my children really want to go to the (top) Monas

Margito (47), a Tanah Abang resident, looked sad when he knew the Monas’ tickets had been sold out. Eventually he had persuaded the ticket seller to give extra tickets for him and his family.

“Please, only three tickets for my family, my children really want to go to the (top) Monas,” he said plaintively, Thursday (5/29).

Clamped by National Holidays, Hundreds of Civil Servants take Leave

Monas Monument officer, Bunga, said that 1,500 tickets sold out to go to the top of Monas. As a matter of fact, such many tickets are still left on usual days.

“Indeed the tickets have been sold out. Such 1,500 tickets on usual days will not run out, but since today is holiday, so it sold out,” Margito explained.
