1,634,980 Sheets of Ballot Paper Arrived in S. Jakarta KPU

For about 1,634,980 sheets of ballot paper for City's Gubernatorial Election (Pilkada) arrived in South Jakarta KPU on Jl. Kalibata Tengah, Pancoran, Monday (1/23).

Sorting progress will be done in a week. It is start from Tuesday (1/24) and targeted will be done on January, 31

That numbers including addition 2.5 percent or about 41,280 sheets. Later, ballot papers will be sent to 2,973 voting booth (TPS)s in 10 urban villages.

South Jakarta General Election Commission (KPU) Head Muhammad Ikbal, said that before his side sending it to 2,973 TPSs, all of the paper will be sorted first. With this, they can detect if there are any damaged papers or not.

Jakarta KPU Announces Ballot Numbers

After being sorted, they will put it in to envelope referring to each TPS name. Then, they send the package with tight security from police personnel.

"Sorting progress will be done in a week. It is start from Tuesday (1/24) and targeted will be done on January 31," said Iqbal.

Sorting progress involves 40 professional and experienced personnel. While inside warehouse, police will secure it tightly for 24 hours.

"Numbers of guarding police are 5 to 10 personnel which equipped with fire-arm," he closed.
