Acting Governor Is Proud with City Officials Performance

Jakarta Acting Governor, Sumarsono, acknowledged that he is proud of the official performance under serving Jakarta Provincial Government. They are deemed fairly compact, especially when they face natural disasters such as fires and floods.

The mental must be grown, surely should be improved

According to him, apparatus at city level is very fast to respond to disasters in their respective areas.

"Moreover those who handle fire at Senen Market and in other places. They're very fast to respond. When fire occurs, mayor and its ranks quickly distribute logistic, set up refugee camp and public kitchen to the victims. I am very proud of their performance," he expressed, during work visit to Central Jakarta Mayor, Thursday (2/9).

He also highlighted the commitment and consistency of apparatus in coping with the flood. During 3.5 months of his leadership, he assessed, the construction and cleanliness of the drain being maintained.

Regarding traffic jam, residents should be patient, because infrastructure development continues to support Jakarta, starting from Jakarta Mass Rapid Transit (MRT), Light Rail Transit (LRT) and Electronic Road Pricing (ERP). Its development must continue if Jakarta wants to be free of jammed.

"Jakarta is free of flood, I just see inundation. Of course, this cannot be separated with Jakarta government's commitment in dealing with flood, that is by cleaning the drain, KBT and KBB. It must be continued," he stated.

Besides that, he hoped mental coaching for civil service should be improved to make them more professional in serving the public. "The mental must be grown, surely should be improved" he hoped.
