Thousands of Residents Thronged Urban Village Office for SKTM

Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) program proposed by City Government get high enthusiasm from the residents since this program can ease the burden of the parents for the cost of education of their children.

To get that aid, the parents need to give the Statement of Poverty Letter (SKTM), which is provided in SKTM lockets in every urban village office. As a result, residents thronged urban village in each region to update the SKTM as an effort in getting the KJP fund.
As seen in Cengkareng Timur Urban Village, Cengkareng Sub-District, West Jakarta since this morning, the urban village office was filled with residents. When the lockets opened, the residents directly thronged to give their family card (KK) and ID cards (KTP) photo copy as well as other requested documents. Since many residents applying SKTM, the officers were also overwhelmed.

reng Timur Urban Village, Monday (6/3).Leo (45), RT 01/08 Cengkareng Timur resident, said that he applies SKTM to get KJP fund for his kid, Deisi Alimas (11), a five year grade student of SDN 09 Pagi Cengkareng Timur. He admitted to have put the document for SKTM since Monday (6/2) night. “I take turn with my wife to line up since to apply SKTM, we are only given two days namely yesterday and today,” said Leo.
Head of Cengkareng Timur Urban Village, Agus Mulyadi, admitted that his party has ready to serve SKTM application since Sunday (6/1).
“The applicants are so many, the officers need to work extra from morning until 3 PM since Sunday (6/1),” he stated.
During the three-days-opening of SKTM services for KJP, Mulyadi said that his party had served nearly 12 thousand applications. "There are still many people who apply, but basically we will remain to serve until it is completely finished," said Mulyadi.
The same condition is also seen in Palmerah Urban Village office, Palmerah Sub-District. Head of Palmerah Sub-District, Agus Triono, admitted the temporary data recorded 1,300 residents were lining up for SKTM letter.
