Metromini Run Over a Student to Death

Allegedly panicked to be ticketed by police officers due to dropping off passengers in the intersection in front of Police Headquarter, a Metromini S75 (Pasar Minggu–Blok M) driver drove recklessly in front of Blok M Terminal, South Jakarta, Monday (6/9). The orange color bus finally hit a Yamaha Mio motorcycle B7717 ES driven by Dian Muhajir (17). The teenager who just off from his school in State Senior High School (SMAN) 82 Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, died instantly at the scene after his body got run over by the Metromini.

The victim suffered serious injuries on his head and back, and blood out of his mouth

Knowing the victim dead, the unidentified driver and conductor instantly run away. Meanwhile, the surrounding residents and victim’s friends wreaked their frustration by destroying the Metromini.

The body of tenth grader social science 2 class was then brought by Kebayoran Baru Metro Sector Police officers to Fatmawati Hospital to be autopsied. Meanwhile, the victim’s friend who sat on the back of the motorcycle only suffers minor injuries.

“ The victim suffered serious injuries on his head and back, and blood out of his mouth ,” stated Head of Terminal Blok M Police Station, Aiptu Sudarmin.

An eyewitness, Jeni (27), told that the Metromini was known to be dropping off passenger in front of Police Headquarter, precisely in front of police officer who saw the traffic violation.

“Maybe the Metromini driver panicked since he did not enter the terminal. Meanwhile, the motorcycle was right on the left side. The Metromini finally hit the motorcycle and run over the victim who fell under the bus,” she uttered.
