City's Local Tax Revenue Reaches Rp 13.2 T

Throughout January-June 19, 2017, local tax revenue in the capital has reached approximately Rp 13.2 trillion of this year's target set at Rp 35.2 trillion.

Jakarta Taxation and Retribution Agency (BPRD), Edi Sumantri said, tax revenue by Rp 13.2 trillion has increased Rp 2.1 trillion. It is higher than the same period last year, which reached Rp 11.6 trillion.

This Year's Local Revenue Expected to Hit Target

"So our tax revenue this year per day is higher than last year," he expressed, during executive meeting, at City Hall, Monday (6/19).

He explained, its realization is from 13 tax types managed by Jakarta Provincial Government. They are PKB, BBNKB, PBBKB, PAT, Hotel Tax, Restaurant Tax, Entertainment Tax Billboard Tax, PPJ, Parking tax, BPHTB, Cigarette Tax and PBB.

"There are things we do to increase tax revenue. Among them are by cooperating with KPK, conducting routine raid and intensive inspection," he uttered.

Until now, from such tax types, some have not gone as expected. One of them is like the revenue of Land and Water Tax (PAT), which is on June 19, only reached Rp 39.54 billion from this year's target at Rp 100 billion.

"This is because tax collection function is to control, instead of targeting more people take groundwater," he closed.
