Grazed by Container Truck, A Rider Died in Marunda

A biker died after being grazed and run over by a container truck B 9653 BE on Jalan Akses Marunda, Cilincing, North Jakarta, Friday (6/13) afternoon.

We suspect, the driver of the truck moved to the left lane at the unsafe time until grazing the victim’s motorcycle

The death victim was later identified as Neni (41), resident of Jalan Sungai Tirem RT 10/2, Marunda. Neni died with severe wounds in the abdomen.

The accident began when the victim was riding a motorcycle B 3391 UDE from west to east towards Jalan Akses Marunda. The victim who was driving in the left lane suddenly grazed by a container truck driven by Riansyah (21).

No doubt, the victim immediately fell and run over, getting seriously injured in the abdomen. Due to this severe injury, the victim was died instantly at the scene.

Chief of Cilincing Police Accident Unit, AKP Iskandar, said that before the incident, two vehicles passing by at the same time. However, the container truck suddenly took a left lane until it grazed the victim.

"The victim died at the scene. We suspect, the driver of the truck moved to the left lane at the unsafe time until grazing the victim’s motorcycle," Iskandar said.

The death victim was immediately taken to RSCM for autopsy process. Meanwhile the truck driver secured directly at police station.
