City Drafts Sea Zone Bylaw

As instructed by the central government, precisely the Marine, Coastal, and Small Islands Directorate General of Maritime and Fishery Ministry, Jakarta Provincial Government is currently drafting bylaw on sea zoning to utilize sea zone.

“Sea zoning bylaw is actually same with land Detail Spatial Plan (RDTR),” stated Acting Jakarta Governor Basuki T Purnama at City Hall, Wednesday (6/18).

However, Basuki asked Maritime and Fishery Ministry to beforehand socialize Law No. 1/2014 on the amendment of Law No. 27/2007 on the management of coastal areas and small islands.
“That bylaw should include how to utilize these coastal islands to give greater benefits and advantages,” he asserted.
