Vehicle Owner Who Does Not Have Garage is Suggested to Rent a Land

Jakarta Transportation Dept. (Dishub) suggests vehicle owners who does not have garage to rent a land. It is allowed in accordance to regional regulation (Perda) No. 5/2014 about Transportation.
People or companies who have motor vehicle are obligated to have or manage a garage
Jakarta Dishub Head, Andri Yansyah said, for people who do not have garage to rent a land is allowed thus its owner will not park the vehicle on the road side.
"It is allowed since it is mentioned in perda. People or companies who have motor vehicle are obligated to have or manage a garage. Manage means rent a land," he said, Tuesday (9/12).
Vehicle Garage Ownership Intensively Socialized in South JakartaHe explained, it is also regulated in perda that it is banned for vehicle owner to park on the road side. Because the used space is a public facility.
"Vehicle owners should not use road space for personal interest. It is for common interest," he affirmed.
He added, land owner who made the land into vehicle parking space will be not charged for retribution. Considering they has supported Provincial Government by providing parking space.
