Jakarta DPRD's Bapemperda is about to open a plenary meeting related with ratification of Draft Bylaw on Implementation of Library and Archives into Bylaw on Wednesday (9/27).

Jakarta DPRD's Bapemperda Vice Chairperson, Merry Hotma said, after being ratified into Bylaw, there would be a legal protection for Jakarta Provincial Government in running any activity about library and archives.

Her party is currently reviewing some evaluations given by Home Ministry against Draft Bylaw on Library and Archives.
"From the Home Ministry's evaluation, there are several points of refinement of the legal foundations in this draft bylaw." There are some articles that are redundant. So it is set in the front chapter, but reset in the back chapter," she told.
In the meantime, Jakarta Library and Archives Dept. Head, Wahyu Hariyadi uttered, after it is ratified, his party will soon conduct guidance towards library.
"Likewise with archives, how is the management of archives in the local government, particularly archives in SKPD, we will set after there is bylaw," he closed.
