PT Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) is assigned to make Basic Engineering Design (BED) for Sudirman-Thamrin sidewalk arrangement.
BED is made by MRT via consultant of Jakarta Konsultindo
According to Yusmada Faizal, Head of Jakarta Bina Marga Dept., total sidewalks that will be arranged in Sudirman-Thamrin is about 6.5 kilometers. Currently it is still under maturation planning.

According to him, besides PT MRT, there are two private companies that will also work on the sidewalk arrangement on the site. Both companies are proposing an increase in Building Floor Coefficient (KLB) with the compensation arrangement of the sidewalk.
"We are incorporated in the sidewalk development team tasked to coordinate these three parties in terms of implementation and monitoring," he expressed.
He mentions, arrangements made include street furniture such as water channel, ducting (utilities), lights, green belt and so forth.
"It will begin by the end of December. And now it's still under maturation planning," he closed.
