Srengseng City Forest will Be More Developed

To increase the number of tourists visiting the Forest City Srengseng, Kembangan, West Jakarta Administration has proposed Jungle City concept in 2018 APBD.

Assistant for West Jakarta Economic and Development, Fredy Setiawan said, with Jungle City concept, the Srengseng City Forest that has 15 hectares width will be transformed into a place of recreation, sports and education.

Srengseng City Forest to Be Completed with Paint Ball

"There will be natural attractions and water attractions. We also have fishing and camping ground," he expressed, Wednesday (11/1). 

Eventually, he explained, visitors who enter the Srengseng City Forest will be charged a fee. Currently, the cost of retribution to Srengseng City Forest is Rp 3,000.

"We can also take the concept like Ragunan. The animals are accommodated there, so the place could be a cheap alternative tourist site," he explained. 

Meanwhile, Srengseng Urban Village Head, Joko Muliono added, Srengseng City Forest has been designated as one of West Jakarta's leading tourist destination. Therefore, some parties will conduct the arrangement to attract more visitors. 

"As planned, if there are foreign tourists, we will hold a batik workshop and its results can be brought as a souvenir to their country," he closed.
