Manufacturing Industries in Jakarta Grows 15.68 Percent

Jakarta Statistic Center Board (BPS) conveys industries growth in Jakarta is increasing as economic activities increases.

It is 10.17 points higher than national growth which is only 5.51 percent

By third quarter of this year, large and medium manufacturing industries in Jakarta has increased 15.68 percent from 10.72 percent in last year.

"It is 10.17 points higher than national growth which is only 5.51 percent," said Thoman Pardosi, Head Jakarta BPS, Thursday (11/2).

According to him, this point could be reached due to positive growth from metal industries, textiles, motor vehicles, and other manufacturing industries. Micro and small manufacturing industries also has positive growth by 16.56 percent.

"Micro and small manufacturing industries is growing, but not higher than last year which reached 18 percent," he added.

Due to high production on electric tools, furniture, timber, and wickerwork, manufacturing could growing well.

"Although it is not fast, but this industry sector remains promising based on its indicator since it continues to grow," he closed.
