Anies-Sandi Inaugurate Pole Painting Program of Casablanca-Tanah Abang JLNT

The poles of Casablanca-Tanah Abang Non-Toll Flyover will become a mural art media. According to the schedule, Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan and its partner, Sandiaga Uno at Environment Laboratory UPT Building, Jalan Casablanca, Setiabudi, South Jakarta.

The mural on the 11 poles of flyover will be done by involving students of SMKN 46 and 58 Jakarta to share their creativity.

Anies stated, it is as a form of attention of Jakrata Provincial Government in providing space for art and cultural expression, especially for school students.

"We want to present Jakarta as a space of art and cultural expression. Today, we started by giving opportunity to those students to start painting on the flyover poles," he said, Friday (12/1).

He explained, similar activity would also be held in other places. Yet the most important thing is the involvement of schoolchildren.

"We want more schools to be involved here," he told.

According to him, the more participation will make theme of the image always change every year so as not to seem boring.

"The nuances should be replaced at all times. If not, it will be boring," he uttered.

In the meantime, Jakarta Deputy Governor, Sandiaga Uno added the purpose of the painting is to support the Asian Games event by beautifying the aesthetics of Jakarta.

"We want to encourage people to enliven the Asian Games," he told.

He appreciated the event as a form of collaborative participative movement between the city with the business world.

"The business world is eager to participate, the government is facilitating, and the public is watching," he said.
