SPIP Maturity must Be Done Honesty & Transparently

Jakarta Deputy Governor, Sandiaga Uno revealed every leader of Regional Working Unit (SKPD) to conduct the maturity assessment stage of Government Internal Control System (SPIP) honestly and transparently. In addition, coordination with the Inspectorate’s assessor team should also be undertaken.

In 2015-2019 National Mid-term Development Plan (RPJMN), he assessed, performance indicators in the form of maturity level of SPIP implementation is targeted to hit level 3 out of scale 1-5 in 2019.

"We're confident and optimistic, Jakarta Provincial Government's SPIP maturity will hit level 3," he stated, after he held entry meeting on the maturity assessment stage of SPIP at City Hall, Monday (12/11).

He explained, its implementation should be improved to support the performance, transparency, and accountability of regional financial management and activities or programs of the city. Therefore, SKPD leaders should give paying more attention to the stages of the SPIP implementation in all units.

"Every agency is hoped to conduct risk assessment and respond to risk with appropriate control activities and documented in the form of Control Action Plan (RTP)," he uttered.

He added the SPIP maturity would show the quality measure of the internal control system in an organization. The higher the maturity, the quality of the organization's internal control system will be much better.

"This is what the maturity level of SPIP is called maturity," he stated.

As for the information, the city inspectorate is slated to conduct SPIP maturity assessment this month. In its implementation, the Quality Assurance Team (QA) from Jakarta BPKP will assist them.
