City and Kemendag Maintain Rice Price Stability

Jakarta Provincial Government and Trade Ministry (Kemendag) cooperate in maintaining rice price stability in markets located in Jakarta. This is also done to prevent merchants from worrying rice stock availability.

3,000 tons of rice is targeted to be distributed to several markets today and hopefully it could stabilize rice price

Jakarta Vice Governor, Sandiaga Uno said his side has coordinated with Trade Minister, Mr. Enggartiasto Lukita, about rising rice price in several markets located in East Jakarta and South Jakarta, such as in Kebayoran Lama Market. 

"Some people have conveyed about rising rice price in market, which is directly or indirectly burdens the citizen," he mentioned, Tuesday (1/9).

Sandi Ensures Rice Price is Stable

Yesterday, he continued, Jakarta Provincial Government through Food Station and Pasar Jaya Directors have coordinated with Trade Ministry to add rice stock in Jakarta from Bulog Warehouse in Kelapa Gading. It is done to ensure rice availability and rice distribution in a good state.

"3,000 tons of rice is targeted to be distributed to several markets today and hopefully it could stabilize rice price," he conveyed.
