DTKJ Encourages City to Realize ERP

Jakarta Transportation Council (DTKJ) is encouraging Jakarta Provincial Government to soon implement the Electronic Road Pricing (ERP).
There are many cities in the world that successfully cope with traffic jam with ERP, such as Singapore
It is because the system is deemed one of the effective solutions to parse traffic jam in the capital.
Here is DTKJ Recommendation to Overcome Jam"There are many cities in the world that successfully cope with traffic jam with ERP, such as Singapore. We also believe that this system will be effective in Jakarta," stated D Andy Saragih, Vice Chairman of DTKJ, Tuesday (2/20).
Saragih uttered restrictions on vehicles with odd-even system that have been applied are unoptimal to cope with jam. Hence, there must be more effective breakthroughs such as ERP.
"It's hoped also able to be an income for the government to improve public transport services," he said.
He added other advantages of ERP that can reduce stress levels of citizens who had been haunted by the jam "Air pollution can also be reduced," he stated.
