14,000 Homecomers Dispatched from Senen Station

Entering 7 days before Eid ul Fitr, people already started to prepare everything for homecoming and crowd to the Senen Station, Central Jakarta. Over last two days, around 14 thousand of train passengers have been dispatched to Central and East Java through such station.

Homecoming Season, Commuter Line Train will Not Stop at Senen Station

He disclosed, every day, as many as 24 economic and business trains have been prepared to serve homecomers in the station. The amount will be added, considering the peak of the homecoming predicted to happen on July 23-28, 2014. "We'll add train from 24 becomes 29," he explained.

He continued that his side also has anticipation for passenger surge. Among them are by adding lighting and waiting room on the south and north sides of Senen Station. "We do this to welcome 20 thousand passengers in the station," he expressed.

Supendi furthered a number of PT KAI officers assisted by police and national army will deploy in every information and security posts inside the station. While for administration staffs also sent to the information post. "We also cooperate with army and police to open an integrated Eid ul Fitr post," he expressed.

Communication Manager of PT KAI Commuter Jabodetabek, Eva Chairunnisa added her side will make some adjustments to avoid passenger surge. "Starting today until August 3, the commuter line (Bogor/Depok-Jatinegara) will not stop at Pasar Senen Station temporarily," she told.

According to her, train will not stop at the Senen station because its railway track would be used for a railway parking as well as departure and arrival of the train.

"The commuter line passengers who often get off at Senen Station can continue trip in the nearest station, like Kemayoran and Gang Sentiong," she uttered.
