Head of Public Relation for PT KAI Daops I, Agus Komarudin disclosed such policy has been set routinely ahead of homecoming season. He took this policy to avoid passenger surge. "During homecoming season and returning flows, the commuter line will not stop at Pasar Senen Station on July 18-August 8. Hence, you can ride train from near station, like Kemyoran or Kramat," he expressed, Saturday (7/12).
He also urges homecomer candidates not to stay in the station because it will make station crowded. They are only allowed to go to Pasar Senen Station over an hour before departure. The rest, they cannot get into the station area.

To anticipate passenger surge, two new trains heading to Jakarta-Semarang Tawang and Jakarta-Kutoarjo would be prepared. Each of them has 80 seats.
During homecoming season, PT KAI Daops I prepares 54 trips for regular train and 12 trips fro additional train with 33,802 passengers per day. Then the locomotive fleet reaches 48 units, comprising 45 units of department locomotive and 3 units of back-up, with train reaches 262 units.
