During Asian Games, S. Jakarta Deploys 1,300 Janitors

South Jakarta Environment (LH) Sub-dept. will prepare 1,300 janitors during Asian Games event in Jakarta.

We have 1,300 personnel and we are ready to maintain cleanliness

Those janitors will ensure cleanliness in areas near venues and Asian Games athletes travel route.

South Jakarta LH Sub-dept. Head, Syarifudin mentioned, 1,300 personnel including PPSU in each urban villages will be deployed to maintain cleanliness.

Sidewalks Around Monas Cleaned

"We have 1,300 personnel and we are ready to maintain cleanliness outside the venues, training grounds, and travel route," he affirmed, Tuesday (7/24).

He mentioned, Pondok Indah Golf Course is the only sport venue in South Jakarta that will be used for Asian Games competition.

Besides, South Jakarta has three training grounds for athletes which are Ragunan Sport Center (GOR), Bulungan GOR, and Soemantri Brojonegoro GOR.

"We also prepare facilities to maintain cleanliness such as trash bin and others. But we only work outside the venues because there are separate janitors inside the venues," he added.

He also expects local residents to participate in maintaining environment cleanliness. Because it needs participation from all sides to create a clean environment.

"We also deploy 1,000 volunteers for Asian Games," he said.
