9 Speedboats Will Serve Tourists to Get Seribu Islands

Seribu Islands is still a favorite recreational site for tourists to fill their holiday. To anticipate passenger surge during Eid ul Fitr, Jakarta Transportation Department has prepared 9 out of 12 speedboats, such as lumba-lumba 1 and 2, Catamran 2 and 3, Paus and 3 units of Kerapu. They will be stationed at Kali Adem Dock, Muara Angke Port.

We have repaired those 4 damaged boats. Of the 12 units, 9 out of them are ready to anticipate passenger surge heading to and from island, while the rest 3 Kerapu boats prepared to serve people heading to Kali Adem-Marunda

In addition, the speedboot's operational will be adjusted with the field condition. Previously it was set twice a day at 7.30 AM and 12 PM.

Head of Facility and Infrastructure Section, Caretaker of Water Transportation and Port for Jakarta Transportation Department, Kamaru Zaman disclosed all boats are ready to be operated. Previously last June, as many as 4 boats were damaged.

He continued, since 7 before and after Eid ul Fitr, his side has set up a post. Based on his experience, passenger surge happened on 1 day before until 5 days after Eid ul Fitr.

"Talk about ticket price, we well it with the same price as usual," he asserted.

While for tariff, people have to pay Rp 40,000 for zone 1 includes Bidadari Island, Untung Jawa Island, Lancang Island, Pari Island, as well as Rp 50,000 for zone 2 includes Payung Island, Tidung Island, Pramuka Island, and Kelapa Island.
