Approacing Eid ul Fitr, Seribu Islands Prepares 30 Boats

We'll coordinate with boat owners thus they are willing to prepare their boats soon. And now, there are about 30 boats ready to take tourists to the Seribu Islands

The local Tourism Sub-Department has prepared 30 boats with a capacity of 30-50 passengers in order to anticipate tourist surge in Seribu Islands Regency in the moment of Eid ul Fitr. Those will serve passenger via the Muara Angke Port towards Seribu Islands and vice versa.

"We'll coordinate with boat owners thus they are willing to prepare their boats soon. And now, there are about 30 boats ready to take tourists to the Seribu Islands," said Head of Seribu Islands Sub-Department, Suwarto, Tuesday (7/22).

Tourist Visit Increasing, Seribu Islands Lacking of Inns

He disclosed the tourist can also use the speedboat belongs to Jakarta Transportation to get several areas. "There are two alternatives, that are can pass through the Muara Angke Port and Kali Adem Dock," he told.

Head of Water Transportation and Port Section for Jakarta Transportation Department, admitted his side will assist the Seribu Islands Administration to anticipate tourist surge ahead of Eid ul Fitr. He has also prepared 7 boats to carry tourist heading to Seribu Islands.

He added that ticket price from Muara Angke Port worth Rp 30-40 thousand per person. "While for speedboat ticket, we sell it between Rp 40-50 thousand per person and departure from Kali Adem Dock," he stated.
