Jakarta Provincial Government has prepared budget as much as Rp 2.5 trillion to build a flyover for the lane of TransJakarta bus corridor XIII (Ciledug-Kapten Tendean). At this time, this project has entered auction phase in Jakarta Procurement Services Unit (ULP), and is targeted that by the end of this year the groundbreaking would be conducted.
TransJakarta bus will stay (running) in the middle (lane). If the electronic road pricing (ERP) system to be imposed there, we’re also ready
“The project is in auction process in ULP. The budget is Rp 2.5 trillion,” stated Deputy Head of Jakarta Public Works Department, Agus Priyono, Wednesday (8/6).
For start, Priyono continued, the flyover will only be used by TransJakarta bus corridor XIII. However, its construction is intentionally designed for it to have more lanes.
August 11, TransJakarta Corridor I Imposes e-Ticket“Now there is only one lane. But, if we wanted to add lanes on its right and left sides for other vehicles, it is possible, we have prepared it,” he told.
According to Priyono, such design is made to add road ratio in the capital city. Thus, later the flyover can also be used for mix traffic instead of only for TransJakarta bus lane.
“TransJakarta bus will stay (running) in the middle (lane). If the electronic road pricing (ERP) system to be imposed there, we’re also ready,” he added.
For information, the construction of this flyover is actually also intended for two other TransJakarta bus coriidors, namely corridor XIV (Kapten Tendean-Kalimalang) and corridor XV (UI-Manggarai). However, corridor XIII is prioritized because the level of traffic congestion in Ciledug-Kapten Tendean areas is the most severe.
For the other two corridors, their construction is still in the proposing process with multi-year system to Jakarta Parliament (DPRD). If the proposal agreed, it is targeted to enter auction process by the end of this year through Jakarta ULP.
In addition, Jakarta Transportation Department is also proposing for the extension of TransJakarta bus corridor XI (Kampung Melayu-Pulogebang) which will be built elevated. The three elevated corridors are targeted to finish in 2016.
For elevated lane, it will be built 10 meters high. Thus, stairs and escalators will be provided for TransJakarta bus passengers because the bus stops will be above the streets. And, the length of each corridor would be reaching 20 kilometers.
