The residents living in Permata Complex, Kedaung Kaliangke Urban Village, Cengkareng Sub-District, West Jakarta, were surprised by the arrival of tens of officers from local resort police, Tuesday (8/12) afternoon. The visit turns out conducted not to raid the area called as Kampung Ambon, which known for its drugs abuse activities, but to record the data of the locals.

This is not a raid. This is only recording the data, so we could know more about the residents (lived here). This is also conducted as anticipation to drugs distribution potentials

One by one policeman came to the residents’ houses to record the data of house inhabitants. While their doing it, other personnel tightly guard the area.

In this activity, the police also joined in babinkamtibmas officers (officers assigned to certain area as an advisor on security and public order). In addition, the data recording is also conducted in persuasive manner through person to person communication.
