Jakarta Tourism and Culture Department (Disparbud) plans to restore Benyamin Sueb Park on Jalan Bekasi Barat Raya, Jatinegara, East Jakarta. Building restoration is needed to repair several damaged parts of this historic building.
"Benyamin Sueb Park is one of our cultural heritage building. We need to repair it without changing its original shape," conveyed Asiantoro, Acting Jakarta Disparbud Head (Plt), Thursday (2/6).

"Budget needed for Benyamin Sueb Park restoration is Rp 6 billion. Our target is to hold auction in March thus restoration could be started in May," he informed.
Benyamin Sueb Park is one of Jakarta Government's facilities to preserve and develop arts and cultures, especially Betawi cultural arts.
"Artists are allowed to use this place to do creative work. It is an open space with quite big area," he added.
