Enjo Market Railway Crossing will Be Closed Down Soon

A railway crossing No. 52 at Jalan Pisangan Lama, Pulogadung will be closed down in a bid to parse traffic jam and anticipate accident.

We do this, as the crossing is very crowded in the morning and afternoon

To avoid misunderstanding, socialization is done through banners around the location near the Enjo Market and pamphlet to the motorists and road users.

East Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency's Traffic Section Head, Andreas Eman said that it will be done since today until next month.

Cipinang Lontar Railway Crossing Closed Down

"We do this, as the crossing is very crowded in the morning and afternoon. It is because the train passes every 2-4 minutes so it causes a long queue, up to one kilometer," he told.

After socialization is done, the Transportation Ministry will close down the crossing. That means vehicles coming from Jatinegara Station towards Pisangan Lama will be rerouted to Jalan Raya Bekasi Timur - Cipinang Lontar Flyover - turn around at traffic light in front of Pulogadung Sector Police and turn around again under flyover - turn left to Jalan Pisangan Lama Selatan or next to Logistic building.

As for the opposite direction, vehicles coming from Pisangan Lama Selatan towards Jalan Raya Bekasi must turn around in front of Pulogadung Sector Police Headquarter - Cipinang Lontar Flyover - Jalan Raya Bekasi Timur.

"Especially toward Pondok Kopi, you must turn around at U-turn in front of the East Jakarta Immigration Office," he stated.
