Tanah Tinggi VI RT 10/06 residents, Tanah Tinggi Urban Village, Johar Baru, Central Jakarta develops medicinal garden as a part of green alley program by growing medicinal plants on their alley.
Now we have plenty of medicinal plants that are useful for traditional medical treatment
According one of the residents, Ahmad Kobe (19), some residents initiated to plant various medicinal plants such as gynura divaricata (daun dewa), chili pepper, moringa, strobilanthes crispa (pecah beling), and cat's whiskers plant near mosque's yard in 2017. It encouraged other residents to plant medicinal plants on pots and put it on the sides of the alley. And then
urban village supports them by giving 12 iron shelves to put the potted plants."We have a quite small alley. Those shelves that we got from urban village really help us to arrange our pots neatly. Now we have plenty of medicinal plants that are useful for traditional medical treatment," he stated, Thursday (4/11).
Srengseng Residents Grow Various Plants on Their Green AlleyTanah Tinggi Urban Village Head, Imran mentioned, there are three locations of medicinal garden in his urban village.
"Those are located in alley 9, 5, and 4. We will continue to develop this garden by encouraging residents to participate in this program," he added.
