Moreover, he continued, Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan recently issued Governor Instruction (Ingub) No.66/2019 about Air Quality Controlling. It could be a reference for all UKPD and SKPD to work optimally based on their task and function in order to improve air quality in Jakarta.

Jakarta's Anniversary, Amarta Expects Jakarta to Be More Advanced

"We also appreciate e-Uji Emisi application that is recently launched. I think, Environment (LH) Department should continue to innovate and be strict in imposing sanction to anyone who produce emission gas above the limit," he mentioned, Wednesday (8/14).

Besides motor vehicles, LH Department also needs to intensify emission gas monitoring in industry or factory owned by private sides and government such as Steam Power Plant (PLTU). Factories that violate the regulation should be sanctioned by stopping its operation.

Moreover, Transportation Department (Dishub) also announce expanded Odd-Even traffic policy in Jakarta. This policy is implemented to encourage more people to use public transport thus private vehicles which operate in Jakarta could be reduced as well as emission gas produced by motor vehicle.

"Jakarta Maritime Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Department also intensifies planting  6,000 sansevieria since it can absorb pollutants and toxic such as carbon-dioxide, benzene, formaldehyde, and trichloroethylene," he explained.
