North Jakarta, Expansion of Odd-Even Traffic Policy Socialized in Shopping Centers

W e want to educate people who usually ride using private vehicles to switch to public transport

North Jakarta Transportation Sub-department  (Sudinhub) intensifies socialization about expansion of the Odd-Even license plate traffic policy in shopping centers. On Thursday (8/15), this socialization is held at Artha Gading Mall, Kelapa Gading Barat Urban Village, Kelapa Gading.

"Yesterday, we also held it at Mangga Dua Mall," added Benhard Hutajulu, Head of North Jakarta Sudinhub.

In this socialization, his side deployed 5 personnel to standby at the entrance and 5 other personnel to explore the entire mall area to give flyers to the visitors and educate them.

"We want to educate people who usually ride using private vehicles to switch to public transport," he asserted.

Moreover, his side also educated road users in the area where odd-even traffic policy is implemented, such as in Gunung Sahari and its surrounding.

"We will socialize and educate people regarding expansion of the odd-even license plate traffic policy until September 8. Thus citizens can think wisely before using private vehicles and choose to use public transport instead," he explained.
