According to Jakarta DPRD's Commission E Vice Chairman, Ramly Muhammad, six hospitals needed to be upgraded into class C, with details two in North Jakarta and two in Central Jakarta for 2019, as well as one in South Jakarta and another one in East Jakarta for 2020.

At the same time, Jakarta People's Welfare Assistant, Catur Laswanto uttered that the Jakarta Provincial Government had agreed with the council's proposal to increase class D hospitals to class C.
"We have the same commitment in health services. We want people more easily served because in all regions with class C hospital in each region," he stated.
