Massive personnel shakeup in the environment of Jakarta Provincial Government is confirmed will be behind schedule from initial plan this September. In this personnel shakeup, Jakarta Provincial Government needs to do assessment on officials who are about to be mutated or promoted. This is because the shakeup also includes demotion and promotion to certain echelon. The assessment is needed because there will be many functional division officials to be moved to structural division and vice versa. As long as the assessment meets the requirements, every official has the right to seat on the position they wanted.

As informed previously, Jakarta Provincial Government is going to conduct personnel shakeup of 2,000 civil servants at the same time. Outside the environment of Jakarta Provincial Government, there are 8,009 positions. But after Jakarta Parliament (DPRD) ratified the bylaw on regional apparatus organization, the amount of positions decreased to 6,826 positions. From that number, 40 percent of officials will be promoted, demoted, and mutated.
