60 Firefighters in Jakarta Undergo CSSR Diklat

As many as 60 firefighters of Jakarta Fire and Rescue Agency are undergoing in an education and training (Diklat) for Collapsed Structure Search and Rescue (CSSR) at the Ciracas Training Center, East Jakarta.

Jakarta Fire and Rescue Agency's Pusdiklat Head Edy Rudiyanto said those firefighters are representatives from all Fire and Rescue sub-agencies in five city areas. This diklat will be held from November 4-15 with duration of 100 hours of study.
"This training focuses on the management of rescue operations in the incidence of collapsed building and systematic management of the incident command system or ICS," he expressed, Wednesday (11/6).
Anies Officially Closed Diklat For Public Transportation Driver CertificationThe material given is in the form of theory and practice such as organizing and starting CSSR operations; building materials, structures and types of damage; building triage and INSARAG marking system, operation safety, equipment, tools and accessories.
"We also share other materials, such as techniques for finding and determining the victims location, lifting and stabilizing the burden, rescue techniques and strategies, buffering methods and pre-hospital treatment," he explained.
He added, the provision of giving material during training is 60 percent theory and 40 percent practice.
"Hopefully it can improve the competence of personnel in handling collapsed buildings," he hoped.
