As many as 150 firefighters serving under the Jakarta Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-department are undergoing training on handling wild and wild animals. It is held in the Jakarta Gulkarmat Office, Jalan KH Zainul Arifin, Gambir, Central Jakarta.

It is expected to improve their abilities and skills and can be transmitted to other firefighters at the sector level.
"There are many reports of locals regarding the presence of snakes, lizards and crocodiles. So our firefighter must have skills, but not only related to the safety of others, but also themselves," he explained.
Principally they must provide excellent service and quick response thus the community really feels the alertness of officers when they need help.
"Our duty is just about fire handling. But we are also ready on other matters related to rescue," he stressed.
