2020, PAM Jaya Plans to Build 100 Water Kiosks

PD. PAM Jaya is targeting to build 100 water kiosks in 2020. It is provided to ensure residents to get water supply, especially in regions affected by drought.
It has been built in 47 locations, especially West Jakarta region
PAM Jaya President Director, Priyatno Bambang Hernowo informed, water kiosks have been built in 47 locations. Until end of December, his side will continue to build other water kiosks in 26 locations.
"It has been built in 47 locations, especially West Jakarta region, such as Kalideres and Pegadungan. End of this year, we will build another kiosks in 26 locations in Semanan and Kalideres. In 2020, we are targeting to build 100 water kiosks," he explained, Thursday (11/21).
City Holds Sustainable Water and Waste Water Management Workshop at City HallHe mentioned, water kiosk is a service to distribute clean water service using water tank. It is provided because water pipelines are still not available in several locations.
"Water kiosks will be managed by the locals. Residents can get clean water in that kiosk to meet their water needs," he said.
According to him, only 63 percent of Jakartans who have been registered as PAM Jaya customers. His side targets all Jakartans to get access to clean water in 2030.
"Our service only covers 63 percent of total 10.4 million people in Jakarta. We are targeting all Jakarta people to get access to clean water in 2030 through pipelines that is currently managed by PAM Jaya," he asserted.
