Transjakarta Holds Clean Air Village Competition in East Jakarta

PT. Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) holds Clean Air Village competition in East Jakarta to socialize citizens about the use of mass public transport.
Assessment will be done in the end of December by independent team and East Jakarta Government
PT. Transjakarta Director, Agung Wicaksono explained, this competition is held to look for regions where most of its people use mikrotrans in their daily life and to assess which urban village with good sanitation and cleanest air quality.
"Since September, 65 urban villages in East Jakarta have joined for JakLingko microtrans clean air village competition," he informed, Tuesday (11/26).
Bank DKI Provides JakCard and JakLingko to Facilitate Public Transport UsersAccording to him, East Jakarta is chosen for this competition because the area is very wide. It means number of vehicles in this area is quite high. Thus his side expects this competition can reduce the congestion and pollution produced from transportation.
"From total 25 JakLingko mikrotrans routes in East Jakarta, 24 routes have been integrated with medium and big buses with BRT and non-BRT system," he conveyed.
PT. Transjakarta Corporation Secretary and Public Relation Division Head, Nadia Diposanjoyo explained, her side will give an fund assistance for urban village with predicate of The Urban Village with The Cleanest Air as well as to provide entrepreneurship mentoring.
