Commander of Kodam (Pangdam) Jaya and Polda Metro Jaya Chief support Jakarta Government's policy which facilitates bicycle lane for cyclists.

Pangdam Jaya, Major General (TNI) Eko Margiyono stated, Jakarta Government has provided bicycle lanes as long as 63 kilometers to encourage people for using bicycle as emission free vehicle in their daily activities.
"I invite all Jakartans to succeed Bicycle-Friendly Jakarta program thus it can be a good role model for other regions. We will participate in socializing this policy," he conveyed after joining exercise with TNI-Polri and Jakarta Forkopimda, Saturday (11/30).
DPD Member from Jakarta Supports Anies to Provide More Bicycle LanesPolda Metro Jaya Chief, Inspector General (Pol) Gatot Eddy Pramono stated, number of motor vehicles are increasing. Thus bicycle can be an alternative for transportation that is eco-friendly and healthy.
"Cars and motorcycles continue to increase. But this policy can encourage people to use bicycle thus they can be more orderly in traffic, healthier, and reducing pollution," he expressed.
Meanwhile, Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan mentioned, usage of emission free vehicles, such as bicycle, needs massive socialization and campaign.
"I appreciate Pangdam Jaya and Polda Metro Jaya chief's supports for Bicycle-Friendly Jakarta program. I want people to see bicycle not as sport equipment, but as a mean of transportation," he conveyed.
According to him, this fun bike activity is also done to increase the synergy and solidarity between TNI-Polri and Forkopimda in Jakarta.
"By cycling together, our togetherness is not only formed at work, but also in doing sport together," he stated.
For information, this fun bike activity which carried out with theme of 'Exercise Together with Jakarta Forkopimda' was participated by 2,845 people.
Participants cycled within 25-kilometer route from Kodam Jaya Headquarter, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta to Polda Metro Jaya on Jalan Gatot Subroto, South Jakarta.
