Untung Jawa Decorates and Cleans Its Environment

The Untung Jawa Urban Village, South Thousand Islands, cleaned and beautified the facilities and environment.

In this activity, Untung Jawa Urban Village Secretary, Muhammad Fakih Burhanudin stated, there were 57 personnel deployed from PPSU and Satpol PP who cleaned the garbage and painted the facilities together with the locals.

"We want to make Untung Jawa Island as a residential island that is worth visiting through decorating and greening," he explained, Wednesday (12/4).

Cleaning Work Intensified on Untung Jawa Island

From this cleaning work, he informed, personnel collected 85 cubic meters of household waste.

"After sorting the garbage, we transport the remaining garbage to the KM Laut Bersih boat," he added.

By doing so, his side hoped that it could more tourists visit Untung Jawa Island.

"We also urge the locals to raise awareness about waste management," he asserted.
