January - December 18, 568 Fire Cases in East Jakarta Handled

We'll routinely continue to socialize fire education to the community in order to minimize fire case in East Jakarta

The East Jakarta Fire and Rescue Sub-agency has noted that they have handled 568 fire cases from January to December 18.

"Of 568 cases, the highest case is dominated by electrical short-circuit (265 cases), followed by gas stove (53 cases), cigarette (22 cases) and so on," expressed Fire and Rescue Handling Division Head, Gatot Sulaeman, Thursday (12/26).

January-June, At Least 170 Fire Cases Recorded in East Jakarta

In details, there are 36 fire cases in January, 28 in February, 31 in March, 34 in April, 32 in May, 46 in June, 51 in July, 78 in August, 75 in September, 71 in October, 46 in November and 40 on December 1-18.

"In total, the material losses are reaching Rp 91.6 billion," he explained.

Therefore people are asked to always be vigilant and pay close attention to the factors that can cause fires such as by not installing electrical installations illegally until the use of gas stoves is not according to procedures.

"We'll routinely continue to socialize fire education to the community in order to minimize fire case in East Jakarta," he stressed.
