City to Build Flat in Ciangir for PNS

Jakarta Provincial Government plans to build flat that will be dedicated for its civil servants who live in Ciangir, Legok, Tangerang Regency. But before that, Jakarta Vice Governor Basuki T Purnama asks for the flat not to be ended up like Kalib ata Flat, South Jakarta.

“Kalibata Flat is on the same lane with train. However, the residents who bought the flat units all have cars and not taking the train instead. That’s why we want to build flat that is in line with train rails, because Jakarta Provincial Government’s civil servants can no longer afford to buy house in Jakarta,” he stated, Thursday (9/18).

According to Basuki, Jakarta Provincial Government has a land as wide as 100 hectares in Ciangir which initially a social institution to be built there. However, the plan was turned down by Tangerang Regent, Ahmed Zaki. As a result, Jakarta Provincial Government changes the plan from building social institution to building flat for its civil servants.

“There will be strict rules for Jakarta Provincial Government’s civil servants who are interested to live in flat in Ciangir. Not all civil servants can rent the flat which construction would be started next year. We’ve asked PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) to build station near that flat, because there already railways passing in Ciangir,” he uttered.

The plan to build flat in Ciangir is one of the things resulted from regional Jabodetabek (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi) leaders meeting held in Wisma Nusantara building on Wednesday (9/17) night. Based on the plan of infrastructures improvement in Ciangir, the area is predicted would develop rapidly. Some facilities which already available there are transportation access and highways for private vehicles.
