Jakartans, Beware of Brokers Under the Guise of NGOs Member!

The existence of brokers in the capital is apparently still rampant, despite the system of One-Door Integrated Service (PTSP) has been made by Jakarta Provincial Government. Even, they often pose as journalist and member of non-governmental organization (NGOs) to threaten the officers who wants to thwart their action.

Brokers usually like to use media card to threaten our officers

Head of Central Jakarta PTSP, Johan Girsang admitted brokers are often threatening officers by showing up press and NGOs' cards. Nevertheless, his party insists to keep combating them.

"Brokers usually like to use media card to threaten our officers," he expressed, Saturday (9/20).

Basuki Worries Brokers Pestering PTSP System

He furthered in the next day, they come back again with a different media card but its identity remains the same. If there is the same case, the officer will record the name of the company and take a picture of the person. Because they also make other problems, like by falsifying licensing letter, authorization letter power, and even stamp.

"Because of they (brokers) keep coming, we make another way, that is by restricting only 1 file in 1 week for the same person. Officers are usually already familiar with their faces very well," he explained.

Therefore, he urged people to actively process licensing letters by themselves. Moreover, the current process is very easy as long as the requirements are complete. Grisang added, people should avoid brokers because they make expensive tariff.

"The form must be filled in correctly," he stated.
