East Jakarta SDA Deploys 8 Pumps to Drain Inundation on Jl. D.I. Panjaitan

East Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-department deployed 8 stationary pumps with various capacities to drain inundation on Jl. D.I. Panjaitan, Jatinegara. For information, this inundation reaches depth of 40 centimeters.

East Jakarta SDA Sub-department Head, Santo explained, 4 pumps in Kebon Nanas have capacity 1,000 liters per second, while 2 pumps in Wika Pump House are 500 liters per second, 2 pumps in Brantas Pump House are 250 liters per second.

"Due to heavy rain, channels become full and overflow," he mentioned, Friday (1/24).

According to him, although inundation is quite high, but it can recede quickly.

"Inundation on Jl. D.I. Panjaitan is drained to Cipinang River through Kebon Nanas crossing channel. No obstacle in handling it," he added.

Based on beritajakarta.id monitoring on Jl. D.I. Panjaitan, several areas were inundated such as in front of IBN university, in front of Jatinegara Sub-district office, in front of Kanwil Kemenag, Jl. Pedati intersection until Jl. Basuki rahmat intersection with average depth of 20-40 centimeters.
