The West Jakarta Transportation Sub-department (Sudinhub) plans to test one-way traffic system (SSA) on Jalan Sumur Bor, Cengkareng Barat, Cengkareng starts from February 11, 2020. This traffic engineering will be carried out to unravel congestion at the location.

We will implement one-way traffic system starting February 11 until two weeks ahead

West Jakarta Sudinhub Head, Erwansyah mentioned, traffic congestion often occurs on Jalan Sumur Bor and Jalan Utan Jati.

"We will implement one-way traffic system until two weeks ahead," he informed, Wednesday (2/5).

Through this traffic engineering, Jalan Sumur Bor that was originally a two-way traffic will be managed into a one-way traffic. Thus road users who want to return to Jalan Daan Mogot should pass Jalan Utan Jati first, then head to Jalan Sakura Raya and continue to Jalan Nirmala.

"We have installed socialization banners to inform road users about this one-way traffic system," he added.

After undergoing it for 14 days, the department will evaluate the system. If it gives positive impact, then it will be implemented permanently.

"This one-way traffic system will be applied for 24 hours and we will evaluate it after two weeks. We will see the obstacles and others," he mentioned.
