The Jakarta DPRD's Commission B Chairman Abdul Azis, wants local entrepreneurs in Jakarta to further enhance their competitiveness to compete with other entrepreneurs in Indonesia and from abroad.
According to him, the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI) Jaya must to be able to take a strategic role in order to have a central role in promoting economic growth in Jakarta.

Thus, it can open many jobs and improve the welfare of citizens," he expressed, after having an audience with HIPMI Jaya, at City Council Building, Jalan Kebon Sirih, Gambir, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (2/11).
His party appreciates them for having programs to create young entrepreneurs, to collaborate with the campus and so forth. Moreover 60 percent of HIPMI Jaya members come from the micro, small and medium enterprises (UMKM) sector.
"This is one of my targets as Chairperson of Commission B to foster them thus they can progress and become entrepreneurs who improve their welfare," he explained.
The Commission B Chairperson, he furthered, will collect aspiration and input from HIMPI Jaya to get the best solution, especially to contribute to the implementation of development programs in Jakarta.
"I think they also have the ability. We'll support them professionally and further promote them to the Regional Organizations," he told.
HIPMI Jaya Chairperson Afifuddin Suhaeli Kalla hoped that there would be better synergy with the legislative and executive.
"They (HIPMI Jaya) give input and points of view for business continuity in Jakarta, as we know the council also has legislative duties. We want to be involved in providing input thus the business climate and business world in Jakarta gets better," he uttered.
After no longer being the capital, Jakarta has the potential to become a business city. That means, Jakarta will be synonymous with investment and the business world in the future.
"I also want friends at HIPMI Jaya and business people in Jakarta to have the opportunity. Thus we can compete with foreign businessmen or investors," he stated.
